EEA right of withdrawal for distance contracts, when it applies
If you are a consumer in the EEA, meaning a natural person acting for purposes that are outside your trade, business, craft, or profession, you may have a statutory cooling-off period of fourteen days after a distance contract is concluded, under Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights) as it is transposed, subject to the exceptions the law names. You do not need to give a full legal analysis in your message; a clear “I want to withdraw from order X of date D” in writing is enough, provided we can find the order. We will send you an acknowledgment on a durable medium without undue delay, with the next steps, including refund timing, where a refund is due after we verify the case.
Exceptions that the law can apply, depending on the product, include, among other items: (a) digital content with your express request for immediate start and your acknowledgement that you can lose the right to withdraw, (b) custom goods clearly tailored to a person, (c) services fully performed in the period when you had a right, if the contract allowed that, (d) some sealed goods, (e) event tickets in certain time-bound situations. We will not hide a statutory exception; we will name it in a human-readable way in the product box when a product truly falls in an excepted class.
Digital products, access codes, and hybrid offers
When we sell a download, stream, or library access, the checkout will say whether the performance starts at once and whether a tick-box is required. If you tick that you want the content immediately and you understand that a withdrawal can be lost for the part already delivered, we will document that in the order record, because a regulator may later ask to see a fair trail. If you have not been given that start during the period, a different default may apply, and you should not be worse off than the law of your state allows.
Partial refunds, where the law or the product rules allow, will match the value of what is already provided in a way that the implementing rules describe. We will use the same payment method you used, unless you agree a cheaper, equally safe way that does not cost you a fee, if that method exists on our stack.
Workshops, office hours, or other dated experiences
Any future ticketed session with a set date, limited seats, and preparation on our side will have a line on the product page: last time you can cancel with a full refund, last time you can move to another slot with a small admin fee, and what happens if we cancel because a venue or speaker became unavailable. If we must cancel, you get a reflow to another time or a refund, at your reasonable choice, without surprise deductions beyond what a bank or a payment partner charges us and cannot absorb at scale, which we will state honestly.
When something is not as described, not a mere taste issue
EU consumer law on conformity of goods and digital content or services is separate from the “change of mind” story. If the download does not work on a system we clearly list as supported, or the description on the page is materially different from the thing you can open, contact us. We will try repair, replacement, or an appropriate price reduction or end of contract, in the order the law in your case indicates, and we will not ignore a manufacturing-like defect in a physical item we may ship, such as a printed workbook, in the time windows your rights give you, including the commercial guarantee we publish when we set a guarantee period in writing.
How to notify the studio and time limits for replies
Send your withdrawal or conformity message to the email on this page, with order or invoice number if you have it, a short description, and, for defective items, a picture if that helps, without sending sensitive data that belongs in a private health channel. We will confirm receipt, usually within a few business days, and we will give a practical answer within a reasonable time that matches the case; refund execution through banks can add a few extra days that we do not control, but we will not sit on an approved refund without reason. If a dispute stays open, the European ODR or your national out-of-court path may be an option, without blocking a court you can use in parallel where the law says so.
